CABPRA’s vision is:

  • To encourage residents to take an active interest in their community
  • To preserve and enhance the natural beauty of the area including native flora and fauna
  • To promote sound environmental planning and management sympathetic with Pittwater’s natural beauty
  • To protect and enhance the residential amenity of the area including public reserves, access lanes, footpaths, cycle ways, beaches, wharves and foreshores
  • To speak with one voice and represent the interests and quality of life of the CABPRA community when in discussion with Pittwater Council and other relevant government bodies
  1. An amazing article, thanks for the writing.

  2. Thank you for sharing excellent informations. Your web-site is so cool. I am impressed by the details that you have on this site. It reveals how nicely you understand this subject. Bookmarked this website page, will come back for more articles. You, my pal, ROCK! I found simply the info I already searched everywhere and simply couldn’t come across. What a great web site.

Hello. The very place where your picture on your website is taken is changing. The middle grey boatshed went up one weekend no application no nothing. I know this because it was our cricket spot. Also behind it where there are fewer trees the spotted gums were poisoned en masse. And at number 58 to 60 Hudson parade there is a sea wall just about to go up at the bottom of a property which has already encroached upon the 12 foot right of way and where I often have quiet secluded kiddy picnics on the beach. I have put letters into pittwater council about all themes things as they happened and I am happy forbany1 to remind them of this/these (tho I am sure they think me a pain). I can forward anything to you. What this all adds up to is a privatisation of public clareville space. Alison

  4. I live in hudson Pde,have many friends who live in bayview ,church point ,who are distraught by the noise bike riders make very early in the mornings,2 have had to move.,so this idea to create a bike track between hudson and prince Alfred Pde obviously do not read local papers regarding this problem.

    • Rod Austin (in the Pittwater Life article) is talking about a push-bike track, not motor-bikes, between Hudson and Prince Alfred Pdes (it is not CABPRA’s idea, but we have looked into it and, unfortunately it probably won’t work). I too hate the traffic noise early in the morning – especially the trucks.

CABPRA is very much aware and understanding of the local problems of motor-bikes at Church Point. We support measures Pittwater Council are trying to put into place to stop the motor-bikes and the noise.

We seem to be of the one mind. 😀

I have just read your submission about Barrenjoey Lighthouse etc..and found it excellent and have also sent one when after the Saturday morning viewing they asked for feedback.
Yours was just as Geoff and i thought….well done.

  6. I am not sure how many Members you have but I have lived in this area for 47 years and have never heard of your organisation till now. In no way do your comments reflect reality. We have a Northern Beaches Council because of those of us who supported it in Comments to the Manly Daily, Rob Stokes and Mike Baird. Much as we love the area we must share it with others who wish to live here. I am confident we now have a more efficient council who will look on the area as a whole. It is clear that Mona Vale need to be expanded and it should become our Business centre. Why do you people oppose Progress. Spend more time looking after our trees and Wildlife. Where were you and Pittwater Council when we lost our Koalas. Good on Mike Baird and Rob Stokes. Please do not purport to speak on our behalf.
